Lectio Divina: Psalm 127:5
14Jul10
Silence: Tomatoes grow quietly; their quality makes no noise.
Prayer: May the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be pleasing in Your sight Oh Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.
Meditatio: A house cannot be built without a plan. The builders have to know the plan.
Lectio: Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they content with their enemies in the gate. ~ Psalm 127:5
Contemplatio: Making disciples at Knob Hill fills a quiver.
Oratio: Growing a church brings conflict. I am meeting a member tonight in response to a 500+ word emailed rant. She she doesn't think I'm paying enough attention to the 30 members at the church because I'm distracted by non-church members. An elder statesman of the congregation will be meeting with us. The plan is to respond to her questions and articulate the plan for church growth. I have arrows in hand because God has revealed a plan to make disciples.
Incarnatio: Fast, pray, work and rest before meeting _______ tonight. Include in the meeting package: a map of Knob Hill Apartments in Okemos, markers for converts / Bible studies, members, visitors and partners. Continue pursuing the vision as quietly as a tomato.
